About the State of Inclusivity Conference: This one-day experience brings together people from many disciplines and walks of life who seek to make their beloved community or organization a model for inclusive excellence. Workshop presentations are informative and interactive, providing participants with diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and resources for personal implementation and ideas for making changes throughout organizations. We aim to explore topics related to addressing and mitigating biases, shining a spotlight on inequity, identifying action steps for getting to a place of unity, and ways we can be better allies to historically oppressed groups.

  1. To learn how systems can oppress individuals personally and professionally.

  2. To learn how to identify and mitigate our individual biases.

  3. To identify actionable steps we can take to build an inclusive community.
